Gateway Franklin Short-Term Ministry Info.
Thank you for your interest in participating in a short-term ministry experience with our friends in Uruguay, Kenya, and Cambodia.
To be considered for a spot on a team you will need to submit an application at Gatewayfranklin.com/missionsapp. All applications will be reviewed and a maximum of fourteen team members will be selected per trip. We strive to builds teams that are diverse in age, experience, and natural/spiritual giftings. Acceptance emails will go out within a week of the application deadline and a $200 non-refundable deposit payment will be due at the first meeting in order to secure your spot. The remaining trip balance will be divided into monthly payments, with final payment due 30 days out from departure. All team members will participate in our mandatory team building and development meetings.
We will lead one team fundraiser and monies raised will be divided among participating team members. Please feel free to do as many fundraisers as YOU would like to coordinate and plan. We encourage everyone to write a support letter. This is a great way to gain prayer support as well as financial backing.
You will need a valid passport with at least 6 months between trip dates and expiration date. Passports are approx. $180 and can take a few months to process. Please check online at travel.state.gov for a passport application and all the paperwork that you will need.
All team members will need to be current on their vaccines. This cost is in addition to the trip budget and can be anywhere from $300-$400, depending on trip and your past record. Shots Etc. in Cool Springs is the best resource we have found for questions, administering the needed vaccines and filling oral prescriptions.
